- 1 cup hulled barley
- 4 cups filtered water
- Preheat oven to 350F. Spread the barley out on a small roasting pan in a single layer and toast for 30 to 35 minutes until deep amber in color and almost chocolatey smelling.
- Place toasted barley in a measuring cup and then pour into the basket of your One Touch Tea Maker. Add the filtered water, set brew time to five minutes, and set water temperature to 200F (alternatively, bring a kettle to a boil, shut the heat off and wait two minutes before brewing in regular tea pot or other brewing device).
- Once the barley has steeped for at least five minutes, pour tea into teacups and serve.
Note: Steep for eight to ten minutes if you’d like a stronger flavored tea.
