The Omega-3 Tummy Tuner

There’s a growing consensus that the western diet needs to redress its relationship to Omega-3 fatty acids. And this doesn’t just mean getting any form of foods containing this essential nutrient. Raw forms of Omega-3 are the most pure and beneficial. They have anti-inflammatory properties healthy for the heart and gastrointestinal tract, among other things.

Flaxseed or flax oil is extremely high in the Omega-3 called alphalinolenic acid (ALA). The other Omega-3s are eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) and docosahexaenoic acid (DHA), and these are mainly found in fish.
